Most taverns have a story about an outlying hamlet where graves wouldn’t stay quiet, and most of those stories end with someone whispering the same warning: don’t let them take your blood, and don’t let them take your name.

Authorities frame Red Sun rites as heresy and criminality. Elves frame them as obscenity. Common folk frame them as the kind of power a desperate person reaches for right before everything gets worse.
