The Fey Roads
What players would know
The Fey Roads are not roads in the sensible sense. They are liminal paths where distance stops behaving, time slips its leash, and the world feels like it’s being negotiated rather than inhabited. People who travel them speak of “missing time” the way sailors speak of storms: not as a metaphor, but as a debt.
Most sane folk avoid them. Those who can’t—spies, desperate merchants, pilgrims chasing miracles—do it with rituals, bargains, and guides who never quite answer questions directly. The Fey do not experience the Roads as dangerous; that’s part of what makes them terrifying.
