The Solar Church
What players would know
The Solar Church is the Empire’s dominant faith: feast days, sun‑banners, trained clergy, sanctioned miracles, and a calendar that tells you when to plant, when to fast, and when to pretend your neighbors are forgiven. In cities, orthodoxy is a civic language as much as a religion. In the countryside, local spirits and ancestral rites persist alongside it—sometimes peacefully, sometimes like a hidden second conversation.
The Church’s power is not only in prayer, but in administration. It blesses contracts, legitimizes heirs, mediates disputes, and sets the terms under which “miracles” are recognized as holy rather than dangerous.

- When a prophet refuses the Church’s authority, it’s not heresy—it’s a crack in the whole machine.
