In Qualihut, there is no stigma attached to gender fluidity, transness, or sexual orientation. People notice presentation the way they notice regional accents or guild rings: as information, not as a moral category.

This is partly cultural and partly institutional: the Solar Church is a legitimacy machine (calendars, witnesses, contracts, heir-records), not an afterlife-policing religion. There is no heaven or hell in the way some faiths argue about, so the Church has no doctrinal need to legislate private life as “sin” in exchange for promised salvation.

Shamans (common and unremarkable) #

Many spirit negotiators and rural ritual specialists (often called “shamans” in common speech) are gender fluid. In-world, this is treated as normal: a social flexibility that fits a job defined by mediation, thresholds, and speaking across categories.

At the table #

• Gender and orientation are not a “gotcha,” a joke axis, or a stigma engine in this campaign.
• If you want a personal arc about identity, it is welcome, but it will be framed as your character’s life, not as society’s default cruelty.
