Der Kronenschild is the Empire’s internal continuity apparatus: the people who show up when a situation stops being a crime and becomes a threat to “harmony.” Officially they preserve stability and prevent sedition. Unofficially, they are famous for consequences delivered with impeccable manners.

If the City Watch is local law, Kronenschild is the Crown’s cross‑jurisdiction bureau: the seal that lets someone investigate across feudal boundaries and treat “a case” as a state problem.
